The College of Health and Medical Technologies Organizes a Workshop on Research Ethics

The College of Health and Medical Technologies, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop titled "Introduction to Ethical Standards and Best Practices in Scientific Research and Publishing" on Monday, 22/6/2026 . The event was attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and individuals interested in academic affairs.

The workshop was presented by the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Prof. Dr. Nadhir Najm Abdullah. During the session, he addressed the primary ethical principles that must be adhered to in the preparation and publication of scientific research. He reviewed global best practices that contribute to enhancing the quality of scientific output, consolidating the principles of academic integrity, respecting intellectual property rights, and avoiding all forms of research misconduct.

The workshop witnessed active engagement from the attendees through interventions and inquiries that enriched its topics. Participants emphasized the importance of holding such workshops due to their vital role in raising awareness of the ethical standards of scientific research and promoting a culture of rigorous publishing, aligning with academic accreditation requirements and quality standards in higher education institutions.

This workshop is part of a series of scientific and awareness activities that the College of Health and Medical Technologies, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, is keen to organize. These initiatives aim to develop research and academic skills and elevate the level of scientific performance among teaching staff and researchers.
