The President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, received on Monday a ministerial committee from the Department of Private University Education at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Headed by Prof. Dr. Salal Abdul-Hadi Abdullah, the committee visited the university to review the requirements for establishing the Colleges of Applied Medical Sciences and Arts as part of the university’s expansion plans aimed at diversifying its academic disciplines. The meeting was also attended by senior university officials.

During the visit, the committee reviewed the university’s available resources and discussed the academic, administrative, and technical requirements necessary for establishing the two colleges. These included infrastructure, facilities, specialized laboratories, and academic and administrative staff, in addition to verifying compliance with the ministerial standards and regulations governing the establishment of colleges at private universities.

Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani emphasized that the initiative to establish the two colleges comes within the university’s vision to expand its academic structure and diversify its scientific and humanities programs. She noted that the expansion would provide new educational opportunities for female students, keep pace with scientific and intellectual developments, and respond to the needs of the labor market and society.
