Al-Zahraa (PBUH) University for Women organized a solidarity gathering on Saturday at its campus, bringing together academic and administrative staff members and a number of students to express support for Muslim female students in Azerbaijan and opposition to restrictions on wearing the hijab in educational institutions.

The gathering reaffirmed the right of Muslim women to practice their religious beliefs freely and preserve their Islamic identity.

During the event, the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of respecting freedom of belief and religious practice. She expressed her opposition to any measures restricting female students’ right to wear the hijab, stressing the need to safeguard Muslim women’s religious and cultural rights and enable them to pursue their education without compromising their beliefs or identity.
